Millions of talented individuals are being left behind. People in transition—career-seekers, displaced professionals, single parents, and justice-involved individuals—face systemic barriers to employment and financial security. But with the right strategy, education, and connections, they can secure competitive, high-paying roles that change their lives forever.

The Institute mobilizes resources to provide personalized career consulting, workforce development strategies, and economic empowerment programs that unlock long-term financial stability.

Our Founding Story: Why We Started

“This work is deeply personal. My father, the late Rev. Milton E. Wells, and I experienced the kind of career and economic uncertainty that many of our participants face today. Following the psychological effects he endured due to Agent Orange exposure during the Vietnam War, our family went through significant hardship, including financial instability and major life transitions. I know firsthand how destabilizing those moments can be and how transformative access to strategic career guidance, mentorship, and opportunity can truly be. In fact, every member of my family, including me, could have easily been one of the very people we now serve—people in transition who deserve not just a chance, but a path forward. That’s why we’re committed to ensuring that no one has to navigate career and financial transitions alone.”

What We Do?

We help people in transition—displaced professionals, justice-involved individuals, single parents, veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, foster youth, and others—secure high-quality, high-paying roles through strategic support. Led by seasoned business executives and workforce strategists, we deliver real-world insight to every individual we serve. These services are intentionally designed to meet the needs of people in transition—individuals navigating life, career, and economic shifts who deserve access to opportunity, not obstacles.
